- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0 teaspoon sea salt
- 0 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 4 thick slices fresh mozzarella cheese
- 2 medium Roma tomatoes, sliced into 8 rounds
- 0 cup balsamic glaze
- 0 cup fresh basil leaves, chiffonade
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts evenly on both sides with dried oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add chicken to the skillet and sear for 6 to 8 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Top each chicken breast with one slice of mozzarella cheese and two slices of tomato.
- Reduce heat to low and cover the skillet for 2 minutes or until the cheese has fully melted.
- Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the chicken.
- Garnish with fresh basil chiffonade and serve immediately.
