Description
This Peanut Butter Pie is a delicious dessert that combines rich peanut butter with a flaky crust and is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 piece pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (ensure it’s alcohol-free)
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- If using a pre-made crust, place it in a pie plate. If making from scratch, roll out your dough to fit the pie plate.
- In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and salt until well blended.
- Scoop in the peanut butter and mix into the dry ingredients to create a thick paste.
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and evaporated milk one at a time, stirring until you achieve a smooth consistency.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
- Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, until the edges look set and the center is slightly wobbly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- This pie is best served chilled.
- You can add whipped cream on top for extra indulgence.
