Instructions
- Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Divide dough for variety—fold in chocolate chips, peppermint, or sprinkles accordingly.
- Chill sugar cookie dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes.
- Bake cookies 8–12 minutes based on type, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool completely before decorating.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk to make icing. Add food coloring as desired.
- Decorate cooled cookies with icing, sprinkles, marshmallows, and peppermint. Let set before serving or storing.
