This delicious crockpot BBQ chicken recipe is easy to make and packed with flavor, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (12 oz) Dr Pepper
- 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce (divided)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste (optional)
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Pour in Dr Pepper and 3/4 cup of the barbecue sauce.
- Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
- Once chicken is fork-tender, shred it inside the crockpot using tongs or two forks.
- Add the remaining 3/4 cup barbecue sauce and stir to coat evenly.
- Let shredded chicken simmer on low for 15–20 more minutes before serving.
Notes
- This recipe can be served with rice, on sandwiches, or with a side of coleslaw.
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in barbecue sauce overnight before cooking.
