Description

A refreshing iced beverage combining matcha, espresso, and milk.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 23 tbsp hot water (but not boiling, around 80C)
  • 12 tsp maple syrup, optional
  • 3/4 cup cold milk of choice
  • 1 shot of espresso or 2 oz strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Add the matcha and hot water to a bowl and whisk until smooth and lightly foamy.
  2. Pour in the maple syrup and whisk again for a few seconds to fully combine.
  3. Fill the glass with ice, then add your matcha mixture and milk.
  4. Finish by pouring the espresso over the top. Give it a quick stir if you’d like, or leave the layers as they are and enjoy.

Notes

  • This drink can be adjusted to taste with more or less maple syrup.
  • Use your favorite type of milk for a creamier texture.
