Description

This peanut sauce is perfect for dipping or as a dressing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon molasses (or honey)
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons warm water (if needed to thin)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, add soy sauce, peanut butter, molasses or honey, and rice vinegar.
  2. Add sesame oil, garlic powder, Chinese five spice powder, and hot sauce if using.
  3. Whisk thoroughly until the sauce is smooth and fully combined.
  4. If the sauce is too thick, add warm water a teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Transfer the sauce to an airtight jar and refrigerate. Shake or stir before each use.
