- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup red candied fruit bits
- ½ cup green candied fruit bits
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 3 tablespoons holiday sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar using a mixer until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in red and green candied fruit bits using a spatula.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until a glaze forms.
- Drizzle glaze over cooled bread and top with holiday sprinkles.
- Let the glaze set before slicing and serving.
