- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 8 oz mushrooms sliced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add egg noodles directly into the skillet. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until noodles are tender.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days before baking.
- For added flavor, consider topping with shredded cheese before serving.
