- 1 pound ground beef
- 9 ounces cheese tortellini
- 3 cups fresh spinach
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Reduce heat to medium, then stir in the minced garlic and unsalted butter. Cook until the garlic is golden and aromatic.
- Add spinach to the skillet and stir until wilted.
- Boil tortellini according to package directions (if using uncooked), then drain and add to the skillet.
- Stir the tortellini gently into the beef and spinach mixture. Let everything heat together for 2-3 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning if needed, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a lighter dish, you can reduce the amount of ground beef and add more spinach.
