- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 packets (1 oz each) chicken gravy mix
- 1 can (10 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 4 oz cream cheese (optional)
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
- Mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles (for serving)
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, and thyme until smooth.
- Place the chicken breasts into the bottom of your slow cooker in a single layer.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken, coating all the pieces evenly.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Once done, shred or slice the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
- Stir in cream cheese if using, until fully melted and incorporated.
- If thicker gravy is desired, stir in a cornstarch slurry and cook for 10–15 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles and garnish with parsley.
