Description

This baked spiral ham is glazed with a sweet and tangy mustard mixture, perfect for any festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 spiral ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Place the spiral ham in a roasting pan and score the surface with a knife.
  4. Brush the mustard mixture over the ham, ensuring it gets into the crevices.
  5. Cover the ham loosely with foil and bake for about 1 to 2 hours, basting occasionally with the glaze.
  6. Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes to allow the glaze to caramelize.
  7. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
