A delicious and easy sausage and cream cheese baked dish, perfect for gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage (spicy or mild, based on preference)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp taco seasoning (optional)
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 cup salsa (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix until well combined.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased baking dish, sealing any seams.
  5. Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
  6. Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the filling, sealing the seams.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
  9. Top with sliced jalapeños and chopped green onions before serving with salsa.
