- 1 lb ground sausage (spicy or mild, based on preference)
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp taco seasoning (optional)
- 2 cans crescent roll dough
- 1 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1 cup salsa (for serving)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and taco seasoning. Mix until well combined.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased baking dish, sealing any seams.
- Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the filling, sealing the seams.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Top with sliced jalapeños and chopped green onions before serving with salsa.
