Description

A delightful lemon dessert that is light and refreshing.


Ingredients

  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 62 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 g baking powder
  • 1 g salt
  • 240 ml whole milk
  • 115 g melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 120 ml fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ml vanilla extract
  • Optional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease a 23 x 23 cm baking dish with unsalted butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the whole milk, melted unsalted butter, lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Transfer the batter into the greased baking dish in a flat layer without stirring.
  5. Bake in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving, and optionally sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
