- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature (Should be softened for easy mixing.)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 6 cookies Oreo cookies, chopped (For an extra crunch.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped Oreos.
- Use a cookie scoop to drop balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set and lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Can refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
