Description
A delicious wreath bread made with all-purpose flour, pistachios, and almonds, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup shelled unsalted pistachios, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced or chopped almonds
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Warm the milk until lukewarm and mix in sugar and yeast; mix until combined.
- Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the dough and fold in pistachios, almonds, and vanilla extract.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread butter over it, sprinkle with sugar if desired, then roll tightly to form a log and twist into a wreath shape.
- Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; let rise again for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the wreath for about 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- This bread is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
- Feel free to substitute other nuts if desired.
